Try This At Home: No-Bake Protein Energy Bites
Whether you’re training for a race or just living your normal life, it’s always important to have energy! One of favorite new snacks that help keep me going are protein energy bites. I found them at my local grocery store for a hefty price, and realized that it would be a lot cheaper and not too difficult to make them at home. These are super healthy, easy to make, easily transported, and yummy. Need I say more?
Here’s what I used (ish):
- Peanut Butter (½ cup)
- Rolled Oats (½ cup)
- Protein Powder (1 scoop)
- Chia Seeds (1 tbsp)
- Vanilla Extract (1 tsp)
- Cacao Nibs (¼ cup)
- Coconut Flakes (½ cup)
- Water

Directions:
- Mix together the peanut butter, oats, protein powder, chia seeds, vanilla extract, and cacao nibs
- Add in enough water to make it into a doughy consistency
- Roll them into balls!
- Pour coconut flakes onto wax paper and roll the balls in it for a coconut coating
- Store in the refrigerator and enjoy!

Pro Tip: These can be made with virtually any add-ins. Try adding your favorite dried fruit, chopped nuts, substituting with almond butter, or using different kinds of protein powder (or none at all)!
Happy Snacking!
