The winter tends to be full of gloomy, cold days. If you’re anything like me, this can make it difficult to get out of bed in the morning! Sometimes the only thing that can convince me to roll out from under my blankets is the promise of a steaming cup of coffee.
This got me thinking about the other benefits of coffee. Here are some of my favorites:
–It can improve your workouts. It can increase adrenaline levels in your blood, which is especially effective when consumed 30min prior to your workout. I always have a cup of coffee before long runs!
–It helps with weight loss. Because of the reason mentioned above, workouts tend to be a little more hardcore when coffee is consumed beforehand. It also boosts your metabolism! Of course, this doesn’t work as well when lots of milk and sugar are added.
–It’s PACKED with antioxidants. You can also get these in fruits or veggies, but a single cup of coffee is loaded with antioxidants. This makes it easy to get them on the go!
–It’s tasty! Enough said!
So next time you drag yourself out of bed make a pitstop at your coffeemaker to start your day off right!
