So, what’s the scoop?

The Hard Cider Run is exactly what it sounds like, a run featuring hard cider. If you ask us, we think running for cider is pretty cool.

When is this?

We have a number of dates and locations, hopefully in a city near you! Head over to the 'Cities' page to see when we are coming to visit! If you can't make it out to the event, check out the 'Virtual' option (new for 2017).

How can I register?

Registration can be done online. Simply select ‘Register’ button on the main menu to be taken to our online registration system.

This sounds awesome, but I don’t run. Can I still participate?

Abso-freakin-lootly! We love runners, walkers, joggers, skippers, dashers, dancers, prancers… you get the picture. We welcome all participants with open arms and full glasses.

Do I get anything for registering?

You mean besides some exercise? Of course!

There is no “I” in TEAM. Except I want to know how to be a part of one. How does it benefit me?

Well, for starters, it’s highly encouraged! If you register as a team, not only do you save $5 a piece, but you also get to compete (or lollygag) as a team. Teams DO NOT have to register all at once. The first person to register creates a team
name (make it epic!), sets a password, then lets all of your friends/family know. Also worth noting, you do not have to stick together during the run. In fact, we do not score teams based on time, all timing is done individually.

Can my kids participate?

Absolutely! More and more kids are running these days, and The Hard Cider Run is a great event for the whole family. We even have youth sized shirts and they will receive a non-alcoholic apple cider! Please note, there will be no strollers allowed in the run. If you bring a stroller, you will be asked to run without it.

Is this a timed event?

Yes. Every registered participant will have a bib with a timing chip on it. Results will be posted after the race on RunSignUp as well as on your individual cities page on this site!

Can I bring my cat/dog/tiger?

No. No. And (ughhhh) no. We love all pets! However, we simply cannot have any pets at this event.

What happens after the run?

After you finish, enjoy a glass of hard apple cider produced on location! Savor every delicious sip as you mingle with friends and enjoy the music that fills the warm air. Plenty of food will be available for purchase to make the event even better!

Are strollers allowed?

We do not allow strollers on our courses. The terrain can be uneven, making it unsafe for children being pushed in strollers.

Are refunds available?

We cannot issue a refund for the registration fee under any circumstances. This is also stated in the waiver section when you register. However, you can transfer your registration to someone else until April 9th. If you do not know of anyone else that would like it you can always post it on our Facebook event page to try and find someone there!

Can I transfer my registration?

Yes, as long as it’s on or before April 9th! In order to transfer your registration, follow the steps below:

1) Sign into the RunSignUp account you created when you registered.
2) Click on “My Registered Races” and click on “View/Edit Registration”
3) Select "Transfer to Another Runner".
4) Fill in the name and email of the person you will be transferring the registration to and select "Transfer as Gift". There is a $13.50 fee to make the transfer.
5) Enter in your payment information and complete the transfer process.

Can my friend pick up my packet?

Absolutely! Just make sure they bring a copy of your email confirmation and your photo ID (a picture on their phone is fine, too)!

Can I change my shirt size after registering?

If you would like to change your size at the event, this can be done after packet pick-up has ended. We only travel with enough shirts for the people who registered, so we cannot guarantee you’ll receive your desired size after the event.

However, if you would like to change your shirt size before the event to guarantee a size, this can be done by logging into the RunSignUp account you created when you registered. To do this, follow the steps below:

1) Click on “My Registered Races” and click on “View/Edit Registration”.
2) Select "Giveaway" located in the left column on the page.
3) Choose the new size you would like and hit "Continue". Check that everything is accurate on the next page and select "Confirm Changes".

Please note that this must be done at least 1 week prior to the event.

It says the event/wave is sold out. Can I run anyway?

Sorry, once the race/wave is sold out we cannot add anyone else to the event. We cap events based on the cidery’s capacity, and these cannot be exceeded.
